According to colleagues who work closely with Kenny Williams, Ozzie Guillen has selected Mark Buerhle to start Opening Day. This news may seem sudden, as Sox pitchers and catchers report Sunday. This may not come to be a shocker for most Sox fans, as Mark has started 6 of the last 7 Opening Day games. Mark got shelled last year when he pitched opening day against the Indians.
Here is the projected rotation:
1. MB
2. Gavin Floyd
3. JD
4. Bartolo Colon
5. ?

I would like to ask whitesox94 a question. I'm a Sox fan, love them alot. But don't you think the Cubs have better players in every single position and have better starting pitching. I just wish the Sox had the Cubs players.
ReplyDeleteAnother Cubs fan on a Sox board. You must watch a lot of Sox games thinking Alexei Ramirez was is worse than Mike Fontenot or whoever the Cubs have.
ReplyDeleteso is 2nd base and relief pitching the only areas where you feel the Sox have an edge over the Cubs in terms of talent? I'm a Sox fan, that is why I'm on this board. I just wish the Sox had the Cubs talent so they could win it all.
ReplyDeleteBobby Jenks or Carlos Marmol?
ReplyDeleteJermaine Dye or Milton Bradley?
Gvin Floyd or Ted Lilly?
Above you have Gavin Floyd as the number 2 starter. Ted Lilly is the Cubs 4th starter behind Big Z, Harden and Dempster. Jermaine Dye is done. If you take time to read my notes you will see I didn't mention relief pitching because I feel the Sox have an edge in this category. However, if you watch baseball you would have known that Marmos was an all star last season.
ReplyDeletewhat is even more funny is that you have Colon has the Sox 4th starter...that is pathetic. He has a Dick-do. His stomach is so big he can't see what his dick-do.
ReplyDeletewell i think the sox have a better pitching rotation than the cubs. they had that amish guy with the beard who blew it in the playoffs.
